Your Local Physiotherapists
Our team of Physiotherapists are all about supporting you in your recovery, whether it’s from a sprained ankle or major surgery. We are equipped not just with the skills and knowledge expected of a physiotherapist; we are empathetic and dedicated to understanding your experience so that we can work with you to achieve your goals.
All of our physiotherapists hold the necessary university qualifications required to practice, and some have further training in specialty areas including hand therapy, ACL rehabilitation and athletic strength and conditioning. Our approach
At Solutions, we emphasise movement and education as cornerstones in your rehabilitation journey. Understanding the what, why and how of your condition is the first step towards getting on top of it. The second step is coming up with a comprehensive treatment plan suited to your needs. Whatever your goals, you can expect some form of movement as part of your treatment plan. Movement is critical for the health of the muscles, joints and body as a whole, and is an important component in any rehab plan.
Of course, that’s not all we do! Our physiotherapists are also trained in a variety of complimentary therapies, including:
- Manual therapy (e.g., soft tissue mobilisation, trigger point therapy, joint manipulations)
- Dry needling
- Rigid and kinesiology taping
We don’t employ a “cookie cutter” approach where every patient gets the same treatment. Each form of therapy is selected based on your presenting condition and what we believe will assist with your recovery the most!
Other services
Exercise programs
Our physiotherapists are trained to design exercise programs for a variety of conditions or goals. They can be as simple as a home exercise program requiring minimal equipment, or a periodised gym-based training program to enhance athletic performance. If needed, we can also liaise with coaches to ensure the athlete’s needs are prioritised.
Injury prevention programs and screening
Are you an athlete looking to minimise your risk of injury in sport? Or perhaps an athlete in the off-season looking to become fitter and stronger? Injury prevention and performance go hand-in-hand: A stronger athlete is a more resilient and injury-free athlete. Our physiotherapists can help identify any weak links in your physical preparation through injury screening and help you address them through specific exercises or exercise programs. In addition to simply observing movement, we also use handheld dynamometry to aid in strength testing. Remember, if you aren’t assessing, you’re just guessing!
Telehealth
Not able to get to the clinic but still want to talk to an experienced Physiotherapist? Great news – you can arrange for a telehealth consultation that will take place over a video call. Many patients still have reservations about having online consultations due to the lack of “hands on” assessment treatment, but we can assure you that the quality of assessment and treatment is equivalent to what you would receive in person. That’s because a skilled physiotherapist is able to pinpoint the issues you’re facing through a thorough discussion of your issue, and has the ability to get creative when it comes to assessing over video! Get in touch with us to see if we can help.
